What a thermal night safari is like
After dark, your guide works a thermal camera that reads the heat animals give off. Its live view plays on tablets in the vehicle, so everyone in your group sees what the guide sees, as it happens.
Animals appear as bright, detailed shapes against the cooler bush: their outline, how they move, sometimes fine detail like the blood vessels in an elephant’s ear. What you see depends on the night; the bush is wild and no sighting is guaranteed.

The experience is fully private for one group of up to 6 guests.
Will we definitely see predators?
No one can promise a sighting. Thermal imaging helps your guide find animals in the dark, but what you see depends on the animals and the night.
Do we need to operate any equipment?
No. Your guide works the thermal camera; you watch the live view on the tablets.
